Milan, Italy · Service Design · Healthcare & FemTech

I am a Service Designer who asks uncomfortable questions for a living. I have spent 4+ years at Tangity working across healthcare, public administration, and financial services and the thread connecting all of it is the same: finding where a service fails the person it was supposed to help, and fixing that. My clearest direction is women's health, because the gap there is structural, documented, and largely unaddressed by design.

Untangling complexity,
designing what matters

I am a Service Designer with an engineering background and 4+ years at Tangity (NTT DATA). I specialise in translating complex, multi-stakeholder challenges into coherent service experiences: from research through to validated outcomes, across sectors as different as healthcare, public administration, and financial services.

My focus is healthcare design, and it is not something I arrived at by accident. It started when I came across research showing that women wait on average four years longer than men to receive a diagnosis for the same disease. I could not let that sit. I went deeper, exploring the structural gender bias embedded in modern medicine, and it became the subject of my Master's thesis at Politecnico di Milano. Today, that same curiosity drives my interest in Women's Health and the FemTech industry. I volunteer with Tech4Fem, Italy's first FemTech network, and I bring that same systems thinking to every project I work on.

Unified Experience , Applied Innovation Programme
NTT DATA had dozens of Innovation Centres telling dozens of different stories. My job was to help them tell one: consistently, globally, without flattening what makes each one distinctive.

Synepsia , Clinical Bed Monitor
Nurses were drowning in alerts from disconnected systems. Doctors could not see all their patients without physically walking the ward. We designed a monitoring platform that puts clinical information where people actually need it, not where the machines prefer to put it.

Booking Sandbox Adoption through Gamification
The platform had been redesigned. The problem was getting 50+ people to actually use it. Turns out, a well-designed tool and a well-designed adoption programme are two completely different challenges and both need a designer.

Public Administration · PagoPA
EU Digital Identity Wallets
Designing Italy's EU Digital Identity Wallet meant navigating four regulated use cases, multiple public institutions with competing priorities, and a user who simply needs their documents to work on their phone. The technical framework existed. Making it feel effortless did not.

Tele-ultrasound for Pregnant Women in Rural Peru
In rural Peru, getting an ultrasound meant a week of travel. We redesigned the service so the specialist came to the patient, digitally. 800+ women diagnosed. 2 lives saved. The technology already existed. What was missing was the service around it.

How I work

01
Discover
Research & Empathy
I start by understanding the problem from the inside. User research, stakeholder interviews, desk research, contextual observation: I go where the work actually happens, offices, workflows, the daily reality of the people I am designing for.
02
Define
Synthesis & Framing
I turn messy research into a clear picture of what is actually going on. Journey maps, service blueprints, insight synthesis, the goal is always the same: get everyone in the room looking at the same problem before anyone starts talking about solutions.
03
Design
Co-creation & Prototyping
I design with people, not just for them. Workshops, co-design sessions, quick prototypes that we test and throw away. The best ideas rarely come from me alone, my job is to create the conditions for them to emerge.
04
Deliver
Validation & Impact
I do not consider a project finished when the files are handed over. Usability testing, adoption measurement, outcome tracking, I stay close to the delivery because that is where you find out whether the design actually worked.

FemTech community

Tech4Fem · Since October 2025

Tech4Fem is Italy's first nonprofit network dedicated to FemTech and women's health, promoting innovation and technology to close the Women's Health Gap. I volunteer alongside founders, researchers, and healthcare professionals working toward more equitable women's health systems.

My involvement includes supporting the Femtech Exchange Programme (FEP), an international initiative connecting FemTech startups globally, and representing Tech4Fem at Wired Health Italy in Milan (March 2026), building connections with partners and sector innovators.
